ISOTONIC: IS IT NECESSARY?
One thing is clear: When you exercise, you sweat – and when you sweat, you lose fluids and minerals. For physical activity lasting less than an hour, a sip from a water bottle may be enough, but afterward, you need special drinks called isotonics for an extra boost. A crucial factor here is a rather inconspicuous electrolyte that literally turns your sports drink into premium gasoline and ensures that the fluid can be absorbed quickly: sodium!

In addition, the body not only loses fluid during exercise, it also consumes a significant amount of carbohydrates. Therefore, it's important to replenish these as well. Because if blood sugar levels drop, the so-called hunger pangs threaten—and the dreaded man with the hammer can bring a tough workout to an abrupt end.

Recommended intake: Mix 1 tablespoon (17.5 g = 2 level tablespoons) of powder in 250 ml of water and drink as needed, especially during and after training.
